Last Wednesday I had the opportunity to model in Athleta’s Next f(IT) Girl Fashion Show & Charity Event featuring the new design collaboration between Athleta and Derek Lam 10 C. Fashion shows for the line have been popping up all over the country, and the Houston show went a step further and doubled as a benefit for Girls on the Run – Greater Houston.
Origins in Houston’s Rice Village was kind enough to do our make-up before the event. Deep Eddy’s provided some awesome cocktails, and Freshii donated delicious mini burritos.
When we arrived at the Athleta store, we were given our assigned outfits. I had Googled the line when I first volunteered to model and had my fingers crossed that I would not be donning one of the crop tops in the collection. Luckily, I was handed an adorable geometric blue, grey and white top with matching running crops.
While my outfit was super cute, the crops fit me a bit funny, so they did not come home with me that night. But really, how cute are these looks?
The event raised over $700 for Girls on the Run in just two hours! A portion of the sales for the night were donated to the cause and for the next two weeks, you can donate online too!
