Stitch Fix #2

November 16, 2015

My second Stitch Fix has arrived, and my stylist Nicole nailed it! Again, I specifically asked for clothes to wear to work, especially dress pants. I appreciated that in this Fix, my stylist sent me a complete outfit to wear to work. Wait until you see the blazer in my box!

Here’s the note from my stylist:

Hi Carolyn, welcome back for your second Fix! Since you were looking for pants for work, I included the Kut fro the Kloth Linzey pant that is a sophisticated and stylist pants that will give you an alternative to all the black pants in your closet (guilty as charged). You can pair them with the Sweet Rain blouse, and a variety of colored tops. You can also layer the Sweet Rain blouse with the THML blazer which I know is a bit over your budget, but so splurge-worthy. The elbow patches add some glam to your professional look. For something casual, I added the Pixley top that has a fun pop of polka dots on the back, and as weather cools, the Look by M scarf will be perfect to player with. Have fun trying these on and let me know if there are any items you are looking to add to your wardrobe for your next Fix! XO, Nicole

Nicole is my new favorite person. Now, here’s a look at the pieces.

Kut from the Kloth Linzey Bootcut Pant

My stylist must have snooped in my closet, because the majority of my dress pants are black. The one brown pair I have need to be hemmed (note to self). These gray and brown herringbone pants are beautiful, and they fit perfectly! Whenever I go shopping with the intention of buying dress pants, I always get sidetracked by more exciting pieces and walk out without pants. I wore these to work the very next day, so yep- these are keepers.

THML Bronze Elbow Patch Blazer

Oh my gosh. Meet my new favorite blazer. I don’t have a navy blazer in my closet, and this one is sort of a heavy sweater material that makes it oh-so comfortable. And it has sequin elbow patches!!! I love sequins. I love elbow patches. This blazer is perfection. The sequins are a matte gold, so they’re not so obnoxiously shiny that it would look out of place in a work setting. There are so many ways to style this jacket too; pair with light or colored jeans, over a dress, with dress pants, or paired with a  pencil skirt. Love.

Sweet Rain Dristol V-Neck Blouse

These long-sleeve, lose fitting shirts are perfect for work. It’s always freezing in my office, so something with sleeves is always preferred. This piece is great for laying with a blazer or on its own, so I am so happy to see this top in my Fix.

Pixley Dido Mixed Print Knit Top

This top is super comfortable and totally cute. The gauzy polka dot material in make adds an adorable pop of pattern. I am usually more of a solid, classic pieces kind of girl. There aren’t to many patterns in my closet, so a plain grey front with a patterned back is a great compromise. It can be worn with sleeves buttoned up or long sleeved.

Look by M Della Tartan Plaid Scarf

You can never have too many scarves, right? Especially, when you can belt your scarf and turn it into a poncho. All you need is a bonfire and some hot chocolate, and this look is ready to go.

This Fix is going to be so hard to choose what to keep. Stitch Fix makes it even harder by offering 25% off the final price if you buy all five pieces. What items would you keep?
